Instead of running a complex system of allocations, we aim to confirm requests shortly after they are made or highlight where we are unable to assist or where a balance might be required to secure a particularly desirable wine.
Erwan Faiveley continues to drive Domaine Faiveley forward to ever greater heights of quality. Having taken over in 2005, he proceeded to invest in new winemaking facilities and to employ the brilliant Jerome Flous as Chief Winemaker, the result of which has been huge improvements in quality and more considered use of new oak.
Vineyard acquisition has also been a focus of Erwan’s tenure with 20 hectares in Gevrey Chambertin added in 2013, including vines in both Charmes-Chambertin and Lavaux Saint Jacques. The family produce wine from a remarkable 10 hectares of Grand Cru and 25 Premier Cru with many of these in prime Côte de Nuits appellations. More recently the winemaking facilities have been completely renovated and a new winery was inaugurated in the summer of 2018.
We are delighted to have our allocation of both Premier and Grand Crus, including some of the most sought-after wines such as Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru Les Fuées and the Chambertin-Clos de Bèze.

The nose displays a great core of fresh, ripe, black cherry fruit, all very well expressed. This follows through onto the palate in a flowing, graceful style. On the palate, thepure fruit is beautifully held in tension by a taut mineral core. This is an excellent Porets, capturing the essence of this Premier Cru in the centre of the Nuits appellation.
