Following on from the success of our Bordeaux Châteaux tasting last February, we are pleased to announce that our Champagne Tasting will take place on the 19th November. The tasting will be held on the 30th Floor of 10 Upper Bank Street, Canary Wharf (the Clifford Chance building in which Atlas Fine Wines’ offices are located). This spectacular venue permits panoramic views over London as you make your way around the room tasting from the wines on show. On this evening we will be hosting a number of leading Champagne houses including Krug, Dom Perignon, Taittinger, Ruinart and Pol Roger, all of whom will have a representative on hand to discuss the range of vintage and non-vintage wines shown. In addition to these grand and established marques, we will be showing the wines of some of Champagne’s most noteworthy growers including Egly-Ouriet, de Sousa and Vilmart. It is likely that further growers/ estates will be added to the roll-call over the next week or so. In any case, this event will give you an impressive overview of Champagne styles and permit you the rare chance to compare and contrast.
Having tasted various wines from several estates just recently, we are also pleased to confirm that two English sparkling wine estates will also be present, namely Nyetimber and Coates & Seely, both of which were comfortable front-runners in our recent tastings. It is fascinating to see just how well these estates have developed the quality of their wines. The evening will conclude with the opportunity to taste two dry wines, one white and one red, which will be served alongside a selection of cheese and biscuits. All of the wines shown on the evening will be available to order, which might prove opportune with the festive season just around the corner.
