I am pleased to announce the newest member of the Atlas Team,
Gabriel Walmsley, who joins us as Stock and Data Manager. With four years of industry experience, Gabriel brings to Atlas a keen understanding of reserves management. It has been incredibly exciting to have our team grow from strength to strength over the past few years; Gabriel's recruitment is in line with our commitment to providing our clients with the highest degree of security, transparency and analysis of their holdings.

Spears 500 as one of 21 advisers in the wine industry. Positioned as a 'go to' guide for financial, legal, investment and luxury advisers, we are happy to see Simon included for a third year running.

2008 Champagne is an impressive vintage displaying power, intensity, and freshness - it is a vintage on par with the quality of the legendary 2002, 1996 and 1990 vintages. To date, we have offered the
2008 Pol Roger (£270/6 IB), and two Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs, namley
2008 Cuvée des Caudalies, De Sousa (£695/6 IB)
and
2008 ‘Le Mesnillesime’, Guy Charlemagne (£250/6 IB)
.
There is no doubt about it: 2013 is a superb vintage for Tuscany. In general, the 2013 Tuscans have a fine freshness and balancing acidity with silky tannins and elegance throughout. Le Macchiole has had a remarkable run of vintages and 2013 is a case a point; we offered
2013 Messorio and Paleo Rosso (£590/6 IB and £295/6 IB respectively).
2013 is an equally stunning vintage for Piedmont and more specifically, for Barolo. In the main, the wines exhibit perfumed aromatics, a fine textural impression, and dark cores of coolly ripe fruit. We offered
Renato Corino's 2013 Rocche dell'Annunziata (£225/6 IB), and the headlining Barolo from
Elio Grasso (2013 Casa Maté and 2013 Vigna Chiniera each at £285/6 IB). It is worth highlighting once again the more humble wines of the Grasso range (Dolcetto, Barbera, Langhe Nebbiolo and Chardonnay) which are priced from £60 to £110/ 6 IB. While the Barolo command the headlines at this address, they are certainly producing quality up and down the scale. Watch this space for further offers in the 2013 vintage in Tuscany and Piedmont.

2014 Bordeaux and how demand may be influenced by a
winemaker's departure.
